Airsoft Buying Guide
Airsoft Electric Gun is an airsoft gun that is powered by battery, normally 4 AAA. For more economy, you would probably want to use rechargable batteries. Actually, airsoft electric airguns are also airsoft spring guns. Airsoft electric guns also have spring to be compressed. The difference is that with airsoft spring guns, you need to manually compress the spring by cocking the slider.
With airsoft electric guns, the motor and other mechanics inside the airsoft electirc gun automaticly recompress the spring after every shot you made. Since the gun automaticly compress the spring after every shot, fully automatic shots are possible with airsoft electric guns. Just in case you don't get me, fully automatic shooting is being able to shoot many shots with one pull of the trigger. Semi automatic shots are shots made with every trigger pull. The automatic parts is that you don't have to cock the gun.
A normal
airsoft electric guns should be able to shoot 220 to 280 fps on a 0.20g plastic
BB. This may be upgrade with better spring and motor to deliver even to 400
fps on a 0.20g plastic BB. For war games in the woods, an airsoft electric
rifle would be most suitable especially one by Tokyo Marui. Some recommended
models are like the M16 or the AK47.
There is also another type of airsoft electric guns that can give your the semi automatic shooting. This type is called the Electric Blowback or EBB. This is normally incorporated into pistols so that you have the electric power and still have semi automatic firing. With the electric blowback guns, the motor will cocks the slider giving the experience like firing a real semi automatic pistol. However, for real blowback experience, you should get gas airsoft guns (GBB) with blowback capabilities. Gas airsoft guns are more real, more powerful, more accurate and more distance.
One
more rather popular is the Mini AEG. The mini airsoft electric guns are scaled
down version of the full scaled size AEG. This is not a powerful airsoft electric
gun. you should not use this at war games or you'll be suckered. But you can
use it in the office or at home to shoot cockroaches or flip down something
from the shelf.
